I didn’t wake up one day and decide to become “that vegan person.”
I just wanted food that made me feel good – physically, mentally, and honestly, morally too.
Hi, I’m Abhirup, and this blog exists because I got tired of hearing that vegan food is boring, bland, or only for people who drink green smoothies at 6 a.m. That myth? Completely wrong.
My journey into veganism started with curiosity, not perfection. I asked simple questions about what I was eating, where it came from, and how it affected my body and the planet. Along the way, I discovered something unexpected: plant-based food can be comfort food, celebration food, and “I-need-seconds” food – all without animal products.
This blog is where I share that discovery with you.
You won’t find complicated techniques, impossible ingredients, or recipes that look great but fail in real kitchens. What you’ll find instead are honest vegan recipes – the kind you actually want to cook after a long day. Food that’s flavorful, satisfying, and designed for normal humans with normal schedules.
I cook, test, fail, fix, and taste everything myself. If it’s here, it’s because it worked – and because I’d happily make it again.
This space is for:
- People who are fully vegan
- People who are “trying to eat less meat”
- People who just want better recipes
You don’t need labels to belong here.
I don’t believe veganism should feel like punishment or restriction. For me, it’s about adding more goodness—more vegetables, more creativity, more awareness. Some days that means a nourishing bowl full of color. Other days it means a rich, indulgent dessert that just happens to be vegan.
And yes, both are valid.
This blog isn’t about being perfect. It’s about progress, curiosity, and enjoying what’s on your plate. If you leave this site thinking, “Okay… maybe vegan food isn’t boring after all,” then I’ve done my job.
So whether you’re here for a quick recipe, inspiration, or just to scroll and get hungry—welcome. Make yourself comfortable. Grab a recipe. Come back when you’re hungry again.
I’ll be right here, cooking with plants 🌱
Abhirup
